John, Gill, Michael and Alex were wonderful neighbour's of ours at King Edward Avenue. Broadstairs. There was never a dull moment with them right from when they moved in and until they moved to North Wales. I often used to hear John playing on the piano, which sounded quite beautiful, he explained to me one day that he used to tune piano's for his friends which was quite amazing. John was quietly spoken and a very interesting man to listen to, he would always tell you a very good story of his life in the forces, and how him and his pals would run off the large amount of alcohol they drunk the evening before, rather then let it just sit there, he said it always did the trick, he recommended this approach for myself, on this occasion I declined to run it off. John has a wonderful sense of humour and was a kind hearted person to his family and friends. I alway found him to be patient and pleasant when ever we met up. A lovely man who we all will miss. Your life's work in now complete and you will be remembered for it. Rest In Peace. John.
